Week 55, MIRACLES FOR EVERYONE!

This weeek was AMAZINGGG!!! Of course, everyday as a missionary is amazing, whether good or bad! As we are diligent in doing the things we should we see miracles all through out the week! Monday we had lots of things to do, even during the day... it always seems like the day just flies by! We had  a dinner appointment with a family that has some youth that we are teaching, we had a lesson with a recently convert to the church about family history, and the new familysearch.org website,and than we had a lesson with another member family, so that night was pretty full! We came home and just crashed!

Next day we had so much going on too! We went to a not active members home, and talked with her. She had been struggling and really wondering if she wanted to be apart of the church anymore. In this situation, it really strengthened my testimony of what I know to be true, and really having a love for the things that I know! All I really wanted to do was help her, but she didn't want the help. She still love us missionaries, but is just struggling right now. We had a lesson with another family, we taught them the restoration, and we talked about inviting there friends to come to church or other activities! We had a lesson with another family, that recently there son just joined the church, we taught them about family history as well!

Wednesday we got to go help at the Easter pageant, we got to go and invite people to check out the visitors center! Plus watch the pageant after as well, it was so great! And definitely touching. The pageant just tells about the life of Christ and talks about his death and Resurrection! Its pretty awesome!

Thursday & Friday we were contacting lots of potential investigators! And Saturday we got to help with the special Olympics locally, it was so fun, and so sweet to watch all the kids participate and receive awards! We got to help with a cute group, 10 year old group. They were running the 200! It was ADORABLE!

Sunday was WAY awesome. We had church, and it was fast and testimony meeting. We were able to hear the great testimonies of all the members and even the youth! The youth are so strong! Its been way cool to get to know all of them! We than had break the fast with the ward, were everyone brings food and we all get to eat together! After the break the fast we had a lesson with a less active family and we taught them about the restoration, and talked about being with our families forever! It was such a strong spirited lesson! They said they wanted there family to be forever, so we are helping them work towards the temple!

Anyway, its been a good week! God bless you all, until next week!

Week 54- Burrrrrrr, its cold down here!!!!

This week has been cold! Yes, in AZ its been cold. And for those of you that are from the northwest and have not experienced a AZ summer, cant tell me that 70 degrees isn't cold! I'm excited for the awesome heat of AZ!!!

We had a really good week this week, with contacting, and teaching. We are starting to teach the youth of the ward and its been a great success. We have got a lot of practice teaching and we have just been helping the youth get more familiar with the missionary discussions!

We of course had conference this past weekend, and it was GREAT! If you haven't had a chance to watch it, do so now!

Anyways, so I received alot of insight on what I need to start doing better, and what I should do to be a better person, I loved the talk by Elder Uctdorf about Gratitude. To even be grateful in times of struggle. I often struggle with that... Haha. But anyway, lots of note taking and eating this last weekend because we went to peoples house's for that! It was so great!

Oh miracle for the week! We were on our way to go contact some people in the other neighborhood and we had street contacted this guy, turns out he was a less active member. So he invited us inside to meet his family! We met his wife that was a convert of 3 years and we talked with them for a little bit to get to know them, well we ended up scheduling a time to come back and watch conference with them! So we did, and now we are teaching the missionary lessons to them to refresh the spirit and the memory that they felt at the time of there conversion. :)

Any who, its was a great week & I'm excited to see what the Lord yet has in store for me! I love the lyrics to the song Ill go where you want me to go! Its consistently running through my head
Have a great week! Love you all!

Week 53 - Finding, finding, finding!

This week has been great! I absolutely love Sister Chase, because she is such a hard worker! That's a lot of what we did, (and always do) is WORK! I love it! Sister Chase just has the greenie fire though so its been great! Monday we had a few lessons and we of course had Pday! We wrote letters most of pday though! :P We had a lesson with a recent convert, Bethany and we taught her the 10 commandments, and all the hand motions for it too! Ill make a short video to post next week of what I'm talking about! :) We also taught a family in the ward the same thing, they have younger kids so it was fun!
Tuesday we had the normal district meeting, we than just contacted a ton! Wednesday we had interviews with President, which was great! He always seems to veer off to the topic of Eternal Marriage and what not... Seriously... I still have 5 whole months! Thursday we contacted a ton again! It was a good day of contacting though because we found 1 person that were interested. Friday we had planning and a appointment that actually fell through :( Saturday we had to go to Florence to go to a baptism of a family that I taught in my last area that moved over there, Brandon is so cute! I'm so glad I got to go! We had Women's conference which was great! Lots of great talks and lots of great revelation. We contacted some referrals that weren't interested and didn't like us... unfortunately. And Sunday we had church ALL day! Which is awesome! I gave a talk on missionary work and we had dinner with a member family, the Browns! THERE HILARIOUS! I love this area, and I love the work that I'm doing here! Ill get a longer update next week I promise!
